Australia and New Zealand

Australia and New Zealand  can be a daunting proposition to travel to. The other side of the world does seem a long way away! However, our team at Eton Travel have plenty of first hand knowledge. Not only have we travelled there, some of our staff members have even lived there!

Australia and New Zealand

Beautiful New Zealand

Tips

The most important factor when you travel ‘Down Under’ is to plan carefully. New Zealand is 10% larger then the UK. Likewise, Australia is 32 times bigger! It may take more than one trip to see all that you want to see.

Time is also a huge factor. To see both islands of New Zealand you need at least 3 weeks. Any shorter, then we would recommend concentrating on either the North or South Island. A 3 week trip to Australia gives you time to do a self-drive itinerary or a multi-centre air itinerary. Any shorter then we would suggest just visiting one or two cities and their surrounding areas.

Don’t be put off by the long flight. You can always break the journey and enjoy a stopover enroute. For example, you could go shopping in Dubai, enjoy a dip in the pool at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, take the cable car to the top of Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. The choice is yours.
