Singapore, most importantly, is a clean and safe city. Furthermore, it’s a great stop over, an exciting city break and a fantastic holiday destination in its own right. Plenty to do during the day, plus Singapore also has a vibrant nightlife!
Singapore is home to over 100 rooftop bars and restaurants. There are many hidden gems. Rooftop spaces bursting with lush greenery. As well as hip cocktail bars overlooking the bright lights of Marina Bay. All contributing to Singapore nightlife, and making it rather special.

Five of the Best Roof Top Bars
Our tour operator partner If Only has sampled the Singapore nightlife. They have compiled a list of what they feel are 5 of the top roof top bars.
1.LEVEL 33
Firstly, the world’s highest urban microbrewery. LeVeL33 is an absolute must-visit for craft beer enthusiasts. Boasting a spectacular view across Marina Bay. In fact, this sky bar creates all of its own beers on-site. The iconic copper brewhouse kettles are on display at the heart of the venue.
I have visited myself and my personal tip would be to order the Beer Tasting Paddle. Samples of five different beers, including India Pale Ale, House Porter and Wheat Beer. Furthermore, you can also try one of the exclusive beer cocktails. These have been specially crafted for LeVeL33 by celebrity mixologist Javier de las Muelas. I can highly recommend the ‘Parish Lush’, made with 33.1 Blond Lager, Champagne, crème de cassis, elderflower syrup and gold dust. It is delicious!
You can also try ‘ContemBrewery’ dining. Executive Chef ArChan incorporates beer brewing measures and ingredients into a selection of mouth-watering dishes. Above all, if you enjoy seafood, Oyster Happy Hour is from Monday to Friday. Enjoy three oysters and a glass of Prosecco from just S$28.50 – that’s around £15.
Best for: Craft beer enthusiasts looking for great food and a laid-back ambience.
2. 1-ALTITUDE GALLERY AND BAR
Second on the list is the world’s highest al fresco bar at 63 stories. This spectacular venue boasts 360 degree views of the city’s glittering skyline and the open ocean. Notably, a regular haunt for A-list parties and celebrity get-togethers. Therefore, the place to be seen in Singapore.
Spread across three floors, you can marvel at the majestic cityscape with a drink in hand at the viewing gallery. Not to mention, enjoying live DJ performances at the rooftop bar. Furthermore, savour decadent dining at Stellar restaurant. There is an extensive wine list, with a selection of red, white and rosé labels from around the world, as well as plenty of Champagnes. If you prefer a cocktail, there is everything from a ‘boozy milkshake’ to premium spirits on offer.
A trip to Singapore wouldn’t be complete without experiencing the city’s iconic brunch offering. Stellar offers a spectacular Bubbles and BBQ Sky-High Brunch every Sunday. Enjoy a buffet or a la carte menu alongside free-flowing Perrier-Jouet Champagne, wines and cocktails from S$80 (just over £40)
Best for: Social butterflies looking for premium cocktails and an electric atmosphere.
3. CÉ LA VI
Rub shoulders with the rich and famous at CÉ LA VI. Perched on the 57th floor of the iconic Marina Bay Sands. A rooftop Restaurant, SkyBar and Sky Lounge, as well as a glittering swimming pool. You can enjoy Asian-inspired dining and hand-crafted cocktails. Dine at BAO, with tempura sea bass, Iberico pork char siu, Singapore cereal prawns and more on the menu.
In particular, sample cocktails which look almost too good to drink! If Only’s top choice is the ‘Native Garden’, made with hibiscus tea, cassis, cinnamon rosemary and gin, and inspired by Malaysia’s national flower.
Before you visit, we recommend you check out their calendar online, brimming with exciting events and special offers available. Firstly, Fizz fans will love the regular bottomless Prosecco offering for S$38 (around £20). Secondly, RnB enthusiasts will be queuing up to attend the Glow Up Thursdays event at the Sky Lounge, with live DJ sets and special dining and drinks packages. Finally, Friday Punch is another firm favourite amongst locals and visitors alike, with special offer punch bowl cocktails.
Best for: Luxury lovers in search of glamorous surrounds and iconic views.
4. LOOF
Singapore’s first ever rooftop bar. However, Loof has retained all of its authentic charm and vibrant atmosphere. Therefore, making it the perfect place to spend your evening. Enjoy panoramic views of the city surrounds. Enjoy a great outlook over the iconic Raffles Singapore Hotel. Furthermore, the focus is all about fun at this laid-back spot. There are plenty of quirky cultural nuances and nostalgic touches in relaxed garden surroundings.
Enjoy scrumptious bar snacks created by well-known local chef, Bjorn Shen. A modern twist on authentic pub grub, this contemporary cuisine is aptly named ‘Dude-Sin’, short for ‘Singaporean Dude’. Enjoy dishes such as chilli crab waffle fries and sweet corn tempura fritters.
Loof also hosts regular pop-up ‘Supper Clubs’, showcasing ‘die-die-must-try’ dishes and drinks from Singapore’s best in the business. The cocktail menu alone is well worth the trip, with tipples including ‘Rum, Forrest, Rum’, ‘Do the Hokey Pocky’ and ‘Agave My Heart Away’ on offer.
Best for: Culture seekers keen to experience the authentic Singapore bar scene and nightlife.
5. Baywatch @Jen
Hidden away on the 19th floor of JEN Singapore Orchard Gateway by Shangri-La. This rooftop hangout is an oasis in the heart of bustling Orchard Road, one of Singapore’s best-loved shopping districts. Designed to resemble a tropical garden. Furthermore, this ultra-modern space is home to a breathtaking infinity pool with show-stopping views over the city. You can even take a dip and cool off after a long day of exploring.
Free for guests at the hotel, visitors can also access this award-wining pool for a fee Enjoy a snack from Baywatch @Jen, with charcuterie boards, artisan cheese platters and other delicious options.
Jen’s Signature Sushies are a great way to cool off poolside, while enjoying your favourite holiday read, or simply drinking in the views of the surrounding cityscape. The bar also offers a collection of refreshing fruit juices and tasty mocktails. I have been here myself and my tip would be to hang around once the sun has set, as the tranquil atmosphere and serene mood lighting makes it an ideal spot for a nightcap.
I think it is a great spot if you are tired after a long flight. It is probably one of the most relaxing roof tops in the city.
Best for: Serenity seekers, looking to chill out away from the crowds.
All in all, Singapore nightlife has something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the night market and the outside food courts around the city. To find out more contact the team at Eton Travel.
